Gretchen Craft Rubin is a well-known American author, blogger, and public speaker. She was born on December 14, 1965. Gretchen Anne Craft was the name given to Gretchen Rubin when she was born, and she spent her childhood in Kansas City, Missouri, where her father worked as an attorney at the firm of Craft, Fridkin & Rhyne. She received her education at Pembroke Hill School.

She attended Yale University for both her undergraduate studies and her legal education. She also served as the editor-in-chief of the Yale Law Journal and was awarded the Edgar M. Cullen Prize.
