John Goodman Biography and Career:
Leslie F. Goodman, his father, worked for the post office. Virginia Roos, his mother, worked as a shop clerk and waitress. John Stephen Goodman was born in the U. S. city of St. Louis, Missouri. He has a brother and a sister. He went to high school at Affton High School in St. Louis County, Missouri, where he was very good at both football and the plays they put on. In later years, he went to Missouri State University and got his degree. After getting hurt in 1975, he decided to stop playing football and try to make it as an actor instead.
