John Rocco Biography and Career:

It still makes me happy every day that I get to make books for a living. For younger readers as well as books for adult readers, I write and draw picture books and novels. Numerous of my novels have won honourable recognition, including my New York Times bestseller BLACKOUT, which won the Caldecott Medal. Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, and The Trials of Apollo are three of Rick Riordan’s worldwide bestselling series that Rocco has illustrated the covers for.

He also produced the art for Percy Jackson’s Greek Gods and Percy Jackson’s Greek Heroes, two of the #1 New York Times bestsellers.Rocco had worked as an art director in the entertainment sector for a sizable amount of time in both the US and abroad. Rocco served as the pre-production art director at Dreamworks for the top-grossing animated movie Shrek. He worked as the art director for DisneyQuest, a virtual reality theme park in Downtown Disney, and created attractions for Disney’s Epcot for Walt Disney Imagineering.
