The American journalist Maureen Dowd is one of the most well-known columnists in the world. During the time when Bill Clinton was in office, she earned the Pulitzer Prize for her writings that focused on the “Lewinsky controversy.”

She went on to cover presidential campaigns for ‘The New York Times and also worked as a White House reporter for the newspaper at that time. She contributed to the publication “Of the New York Times Magazine” by penning the essay “On Washington.”

In 2009, it was alleged that she had plagiarised one of her articles. Her work was compared to a previously published blog post by TPM editor Josh Marshall, and it was discovered that there were parallels between the two.
