B Praak Biography and Career:

Pratik Bachan (Punjabi: ), better known by his stage name B Praak, is a Punjabi and Hindi singer and music composer. He began his career as a music producer before making his singing debut with the song Mann Bharrya. He is a frequent collaborator with lyricist Jaani and made his Bollywood debut in 2019 with two songs as a singer in the Akshay Kumar flicks Kesari and Good Newswz, as well as a guest composer in the satire Bala.

Praak was born in Chandigarh as Pratik Bachan. His father, Varinder Bachan, is a well-known producer and composer of Punjabi music. He is commonly credited for collaborating with songwriter Jaani. Almost all of the songs for which he has composed music throughout his career have been written by Jaani.

He began his career as a music director under the moniker “Prakky B.” He composed music for a few songs, but they received little fame. In 2012, he met lyricist Jaani and began collaborating with him under the moniker ‘B Praak’. They released their first single, “Soch,” in 2013, which was sung and created by Harrdy Sandhu. This song altered the course of every individual linked with it.

Later in his career, he composed and produced music for a number of chart-topping songs by singers such as Jassie Gill, Harrdy Sandhu, Amrinder Gill, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ammy Virk, among others, with lyrics by Jaani. He rose to prominence as a music producer in the punjabi business as a result of his song’s unique atmosphere and melody. He also appeared in 2-3 songs, including “Go Baby Go” and “Surma To Sandals.”

He later made his singing debut in 2018 with the tune Mann Bharrya, which became a superhit. Additionally, he sung additional songs such as “Bewafaai” and “Mastaani” and composed major pieces such as “Qismat”,”Naah”,”Kya Baat Ay”, “Hath Chummne”,”Guitar Sikhda” in the same and subsequent years. He has collaborated on numerous occasions with Jassi Gill, Ammy Virk, and Harrdy Sandhu. He also produced music for the first time in his career for the film “Qismat,” which features lyrics by Jaani.

Praak later made his Bollywood debut in 2019, first as a singer with the song Teri Mitti from the Hindi film Kesari, written by Manoj Muntashir and composed by Arko Pravo Mukherjee, and then as a composer with a recreation of his hit song Naah, titled Naah Goriye, which was featured on the soundtrack of Ayushmann Khurrana’s Bala. During this time period, he also crooned a promotional song with Kumar for his second song as a singer, Ali Ali, which was featured on the soundtrack of Sunny Deol and Karan Kapadia’s Blank, before crooning a remake of the popular song O Saaki Saaki for Tanishk Bagchi’s Batla House, in which he sang alongside Neha Kakkar and Tulsi Kumar in his first multi-singer song. He then reunited with Kumar for the comedy-drama film Good Newwz, singing Bagchi’s composition Maana Dil, which was written by Rashmi Virag.  Additionally, he recorded a reprise version of the song Dilbara from the 2019 remake of the popular film Pati Patni Aur Woh, which was composed by Sachet-Parampara and written by Navi Ferozpurwala, as well as a duet with Sunidhi Chauhan for the song Bharat Salaam, which was written and composed by Mithoon and featured on the Hotel Mumbai soundtrack.

He sang his first Telugu song, Suryudivo Chandrudivo, for Mahesh Babu’s film Sarileru Neekevvaru. Praak went on to win the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer at the 67th National Film Awards for his performance of “Teri Mitti.” On YouTube, their song Filhall has been viewed over 1 Billion times.
