The Five Kingdoms, Beyonders, and Fablehaven novels are written by #1 New York Times bestselling author Brandon Mull. Brandon is a dynamic thinker who likes to squeeze stress balls, pop bubble wrap, and play with them. How to revive the Fablehaven characters in a new series is something I’ve thought about for years. My first published book, Fablehaven, came out in 2006. In 2010, I finished the fifth book in the series, and I made it clear in the book’s back matter that I would not be writing a sixth one. But I did say that I hoped to make a second series someday.It is now that day!Over the previous few years, the concept for Dragonwatch grew and, in the end, I felt compelled to tell the story. Since I was aware that being a successful author would be difficult, I frequently kept my goal to write fiction a secret so that no one would worry about me or assume I was crazy. I used to spend a lot of time as a child daydreaming and creating fantastic worlds for myself and my imagined friends and family to play. I’ve always daydreamed and made up stories in my spare time, ever since I can remember. As I grew older, those tales developed and became more interesting, and I made the decision that I wanted to tell others about them.

My commitment to writing really started at that point. So, I mainly used short stories as practise while in high school and college. In 2000, the year I received my degree from Brigham Young University, I began writing my first novel. Before a Shadow Mountain Publishing editor saw potential in it, it was rejected by numerous agents and publishers. The first book I wrote, Fablehaven, was written for Shadow Mountain after they requested it but did not buy the first one.

Following extensive book shopping for that first novel, Fablehaven was eventually published by the first publisher who viewed it. the speed at which it attracted a following. I quickly established a career since it seemed that everywhere the book gained traction, positive word of mouth soon followed. About six months after the first Fablehaven was released, I was able to quit my day job, where I had been working as a copywriter to pay the bills.

Since my publisher didn’t want more than one Fablehaven title every year at that point, I began writing The Candy Shop War after having finished the sequel to Fablehaven.Now that my desire has come true, I am happy. I work more hours a week than I ever have between writing and promotion, but I am passionate about the work. I’m glad to be able to work in a job I adore because I love my family very much. Over the past ten years, the concept for Beyonders has been percolating in my head.

I started writing novels out of a desire to make up this story. Our primary protagonists in Beyonders cross over into Lyrian, a fantastical realm, and then depart this one. I made up several unique fantasy races to make the new world feel distinct from our own. For me, it was crucial that these races weren’t the same breeds that appeared in our own mythologies. The Amar Kabal are one such group of people. At their skull bases, they have seeds.

Their bodies can regenerate and live again if they are slain, and the seeds that were left behind will keep their memories alive. Only one, mind you.It is about heroes in the novel Beyonders. At the beginning of the game, there are almost no heroes left in Lyrian since the emperor Maldor has been deliberately buying off or destroying them. Most of those still alive have either given up or are hurt. We have a boy and a girl from our planet who are learning how to be heroes, and at the same time, some of these damaged heroes are coming out of retirement.

The Blind King, who was formerly the best swordsman in Lyrian before the emperor stole his sight, is one of my favourite figures.The first two Beyonders books have been written. The first novel, in my opinion, provides a delightful tale and gives the reader a taste of the Lyrian universe and many of the characters we’ll be following. However, it won’t be until the second book that readers will fully understand where the plot is going. The third book is, in my opinion, my strongest to date, so I’m sure of that. I’m extremely interested in the opinions of the readers!
