Candice Bergen Biography and Career:

Candice Bergen, whose full name is Candice Patricia Bergen and who was born in Los Angeles, California, in the United States on May 9, 1946, was an American actress, writer, and photojournalist. She was most well-known for her role as the smart but prickly and frequently unreasonable title character in the sitcom Murphy Brown 1988–98, 2018.

Bergen was born into one of the most prominent Hollywood families. Her mother was a professional model, and her father was the ventriloquist and radio comic Edgar Bergen. Both of her parents were in the entertainment industry. Candice had her first film appearance with her father in a 1958 edition of the comedic quiz program You Bet Your Life, which was hosted by Groucho Marx.
