Catherine Oxenberg Biography and Career:

American actress Catherine Oxenberg was born on September 22, 1961. She is best known for playing Amanda Carrington in the popular serial series Dynasty from the 1980s. Princess Elizabeth of Yugoslavia and Howard Oxenberg are the parents of Oxenberg. She portrayed Diana, Princess of Wales on cinema twice, in Charles and Diana: Unhappily Ever After and The Royal Romance of Charles and Diana. She has also acted in a number of other movies. Oxenberg was raised in London even though he was born in New York City. She is the oldest child of Princess Elizabeth of Yugoslavia, a personal friend of the Kennedys and a Jewish clothing maker, and her first husband Howard Oxenberg.

She is Christina Oxenberg’s sister. Princess Elizabeth is the only child of Princess Olga of Greece and Denmark and Prince Paul of Yugoslavia, who acted as regent for King Peter II of Yugoslavia, his cousin. Catherine is related to Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, Princess Alexandra, The Honourable Lady Ogilvy, and Prince Michael of Kent through her maternal grandmother. She is also related to Charles, Prince of Wales, and Queen Sofia of Spain as a second cousin once removed, making her a third cousin of Felipe VI of Spain and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge. Princess Olga was the sister of Princess Marina, who wed Prince George, Duke of Kent, and an uncle of Queen Elizabeth II.

During the production of the 1999 television movie The Collectors, Oxenberg first worked with actor Casper Van Dien; they later collaborated on the Evangelical Christian thriller The Omega Code. They exchanged vows in the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 8, 1999. Casper Robert Mitchum Van Dien and Caroline Grace Van Dien are children of Van Dien from a previous marriage.

In the 2006 television program Dynasty Reunion: Catfights & Caviar, Oxenberg reunited with her old Dynasty cast mates to share memories of the show.
