Dayton Dragon Biography and Career:

The Dayton Dragons are a Minor League Baseball team that competes in the American Association of Professional Baseball’s High-A Central Division. They are based in Dayton, Ohio. As a side note, they are the Triple-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds. In addition to the Dayton Convention Center, the team also has a practice facility. Their home games are held at Day Air Ballpark, formerly known as Fifth Third Field, in the city of Dayton, Ohio, which also serves as the home of the Cincinnati Reds baseball team. In 2011, they sold out their 815th consecutive game, breaking the previous record of 814 set by the Portland Trail Blazers in 2010.

This broke the previous record of 814 established by the Portland Trail Blazers in 2010. It had never been done before by a professional sports team to sell out 815 consecutive games, and this was the first time it had happened. In the year 2000, the Dragons made their way to Dayton to play. A professional baseball team based in Rockford, Illinois, that played its home games at Rockford Stadium, the Rockford Expos (later known as the Rockford Royals, Chicago Cubs, and Cincinnati Reds) was founded in 1899. When the Dragons were a part of the Midwest League (1988 to 2020), their season culminated with a championship, which they achieved in 1988.

The team’s home stadium is Day Air Ballpark in Dayton, Ohio, which was formerly known as Fifth Third Field. Day Air Ballpark was built in 1998 and was formerly known as Fifth Third Field (up to 2020). The Dragons played in front of a record-breaking crowd of 581,853 spectators in their debut season, setting a Minor League Baseball Class-A single-season attendance record for a team in their first year of existence. That record was broken again more by the Dragons two years later, in 2003 and 2004 respectively.

With a total of 597,433 fans attending the Dragons’ games during the 2010 season, the team set a new Class-A attendance record, which stands to this day. The Dragons have drawn an average of 8,360 supporters to each of their home games during the course of their 19-year existence (through the 2018 season). They finished first or second in attendance in each of their 13 seasons at the Class-A level (from 2006 to 2018) throughout their 13 seasons in the upper levels of baseball. In addition, they have finished first or second among all teams below the Triple-A level for the past 13 seasons in a row (all teams below the Double-A level).

On July 9, 2011, the Dragons officially surpassed their previous record of 815 consecutive sold-out games, which they had previously achieved in their previous season. They have surpassed the previous mark, which was held by the Los Angeles Lakers from 1977 to 1995, achieved by the same team. On May 10, 2014, it was reported that the run of consecutive sellouts has reached 1,000 games, breaking the previous record of 800 games set in 2007. All 19 of the team’s games have been sold out, according to their official website, which dates back to 1998.

It has been a successful season for the Dragons, with their streak of consecutive sold-out games continuing into the 2018 season. At the moment, the streak has reached 1,316 consecutive sold-out games, which is a North American sports record for any sport played at any time in any venue at any point in time. Since their inception in 1997, the Dayton Dragons have sold out every single one of their home games for the past 20 seasons, establishing the longest home game sellout streak in the history of professional sports in the United States. The Dragons have sold out every home game for the past 20 seasons. In honor of the airline, the team’s home stadium, which was previously known as Fifth Third Field, will be renamed Day Air Ballpark when it opens its doors in 2020.
