DJ Maphorisa Biography and Career:

DJ Maphorisa (or rather Madumane) is a South African record producer, DJ, and vocalist who was born on November 15, 1987, and is best known for his work as DJ Maphorisa (or rather Madumane). Known as a record producer who creates music that is a mix of house music, am a piano, and afropop, Wizkid has collaborated with and received production credits from a number of notable artists such as Sizwe Alakine, Kwesta, Uhuru, Drake, Black Coffee, Major Lazer, Runtown, C4 Pedro, TRESOR, Kabza De Small, and Era Istrefi. Following his departure from Kalawa Jazmee Records, he is currently signed to his own record label, BlaqBoy Music.

The success of his hit singles for artists from a variety of musical genres, including Uhuru (“Y-Tjukuta”), Kwesta (“Ngud”), Busiswa (“Lahla”), DJ Zinhle (“My name Is”), Professor (“Jezebel”), and Shekinah catapulted him to the top of the music industry (“Suited”). With more than 4.2 million streams, the single “Banyana” earned the Recording Industry Association of South Africa’s double-platinum certification.
