Eddie McGuire Biography and Career:

Eddie McGuire is a well-known personality in Australia, both on the radio and on television. He was born in Australia to parents that scrimped and saved so they could provide their kids a better life than they had. Eddie and his siblings all went on to achieve great success in their chosen careers. He began his career in sports statistics before transitioning into the role of sports writer at “Network Ten.” The ‘Nine Network’ gave him his big break when they picked him to anchor a sports program.

As he demonstrated his abilities as a TV host on the show, he was inundated with offers to host other shows, including live events. Over his career, he has also hosted quiz programs and his on-screen presence has been praised by both audiences and reviewers. He was elected to represent Victoria in the 1998 “Constitutional Convention” and the subsequent “Australian Republic Referendum” to modify Australia’s founding document. The “Collingwood Football Club,” a “Australian Rules Football” club, elected this sports writer as its president on October 29, 1998.
