G-Dragon Biography and Career:
In Seoul, South Korea, on August 18, 1988, a boy named Kwon Ji Yong was born. So according to the Chinese calendar, he was born during the Year of the Dragon, and as a result, his star sign is Leo. At the 14th Mnet Asian Music Awards in November 2012, he was honoured with the ‘Best Male Solo Artist award and in January 2013, his ‘One of a Kind’ album was awarded the ‘Record of the Year’ prize at the 22nd Seoul Music Awards for his creative achievements. ‘Coup D’etat,’ G-second Dragon’s album, debuted at No. 1 on the Gaon Digital Chart with the single ‘Who You?,’ which peaked at No. 2.
G-Dragon took home the World Music Award for ‘World’s Best Record,’ and the album went on to sell over 226,000 copies. A number of well-known artists appeared on the album including Missy Elliott, Baauer Sky Ferreira, and Diplo. G-November Dragon’s 2013 album ‘+One of a Kind & Heartbreaker’ was certified Gold by RIAJ and sold over 136,000 copies.
