Graham Hancock Biography and Career:

GRAHAM HANCOCK is the author of the upcoming novel Magicians of the Gods, as well as the big worldwide blockbusters The Sign and the Seal, Fingerprints of the Gods, and Heaven’s Mirror. Magicians of the Gods is expected to be published in 2018. His works have been translated into 27 different languages and have together sold more than five million copies throughout the globe.

His ideas have been presented to audiences numbering in the tens of millions thanks to his public lectures, radio, and television appearances, and two major television series for Channel 4 in the United Kingdom and The Learning Channel in the United States, respectively titled Quest For The Lost Civilisation and Flooded Kingdoms of the Ice Age. He has established a reputation for being an unusual thinker who poses contentious concerns about the history of mankind.

Graham Hancock picAlthough Hancock was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, he spent most of his childhood in India since his father was a physician there. Later on, he attended schools and universities in the city of Durham, which is located in the north of England. In 1973, he received a degree in sociology with first-class honors from Durham University.

After that, he embarked on a successful career in journalism, penning articles for several of the most prominent newspapers in Britain, such as The Times, The Sunday Times, The Independent, and The Guardian. Between the years 1976 and 1979, he served as the co-editor of New Internationalist magazine. Between 1981 and 1983, he was the East Africa correspondent for The Economist.

Beginning in the early 1980s, Hancock’s writing started making more and more of a continuous shift into the direction of books. In 1981, he had his first book, Journey Through Pakistan, published. It was written in collaboration with photographers Mohamed Amin and Duncan Willetts.

After that came Ethiopia: The Challenge of Hunger (1984) and AIDS: The Deadly Epidemic (1986), both of which were written in collaboration with Enver Carim. Under Ethiopian Skies (1983) was written in collaboration with Richard Pankhurst and included photography by Duncan Willets.

Hancock started working on his internationally regarded indictment of international assistance, Lords of Poverty, in 1987, and it was released the following year in 1989. 1990 saw the publication of African Ark, which included the work of photographers Angela Fisher and Carol Beckwith.

In 1992, with the release of The Sign and The Seal, Hancock made his debut as a New York Times best-selling author. This book is an epic inquiry into the mystery of the lost Ark of the Covenant and its current locations in the world. The Guardian made the observation that “Hancock has developed a new genre,” which they called “an intellectual whodunit by a do-it-yourself investigator.”

It wasn’t until 1995 that Hancock’s book “Fingerprints of the Gods” was out, but it was clear that his reputation was already increasing. This book has already sold more than three million copies and continues to be in demand all over the globe. It was referred to as “one of the intellectual cornerstones of the decade” by the Literary Review.

Subsequent works such as Keeper of Genesis (The Message of the Sphinx in the United States) with co-author Robert Bauval and Heaven’s Mirror, with photographer Santha Faiia, have also been Number 1 bestsellers, with the latter work being accompanied by Hancock’s three-part television series Quest For the Lost Civilization.

Hancock received much praise for his book, “Underworld: Flooded Kingdoms of the Ice Age,” which was released in 2002, and he also presented the accompanying major television series. This was the conclusion of years of study as well as hands-on dives into historical wreck sites underwater.

Underworld presented tangible archaeological evidence that myths and legends of ancient floods were not to be dismissed out of hand by arguing that many of the clues to the origin of civilization lay underwater, on coastal regions that were once above water but flooded at the end of the last Ice age.

The next year, 2004, saw the release of Graham’s project, Talisman: Sacred Cities, Secret Faith, which he had co-authored with Robert Bauval. This study, which has been in the works for ten years, revisits the topics that were most recently discussed in Keeper of Genesis.

Specifically, it seeks more proof supporting the persistence of a covert astronomical cult into current times. Discovering the traces of a covert religion that has played a significant role in shaping the world requires going on an intellectual roller coaster through the alleyways and byways of history. The traces may be found in architecture and monuments.

In 2005, Graham released his book titled “Supernatural: Meetings with the Ancient Teachers of Mankind,” which was an exploration of shamanism and the beginnings of religion. This controversial book suggests that experiences in altered states of consciousness have played a fundamental role in the evolution of human culture and that other realities – in fact, parallel worlds – surround us all the time but are not normally accessible to our senses. In addition, the book suggests that other realities have played a fundamental role in the evolution of human culture.

Hancock went to the Amazon rainforest as part of his research for the television show Supernatural. There, he sampled the visionary drink ayahuasca, also known as the “Vine of Souls,” which has been used by shamans for more than 4000 years.

It was his encounters with the vine that inspired him to write Entangled, which was his first piece of fiction. Written with the same appeal that has made his non-fiction so popular with readers, this novel will have readers turning the pages.

The plot of Entangled is about a supernatural war between good and evil that takes place throughout the dimension of time in the human world. It was followed by two further books, War God: Nights of the Witch and War God: Return of the Plumed Serpent, which are the first two volumes in his three-volume supernatural adventure series on the Spanish conquest of Mexico.

This series is set at the time of the Spanish conquest of Mexico. Hancock has finally finished writing the non-fiction sequel to his previous book, Fingerprints of the Gods, which is titled Magicians of the Gods.

Magicians is not an update of Fingerprints; rather, it is an entirely new book that was published on September 10th, 2015 in the United Kingdom and on November 10th, 2015 in the United States. Magicians present compelling new evidence for a vanished civilization and for the global catastrophe that wiped it off the face of the earth.
