Sudha Murthy Biography and Career:
Sudha Kulkarni Murthy was born to Dr. R.H. Kulkarni and Vimala Kulkarni in Shiggaon, Karnataka. Sudha Murthy had done her BE in Electrical Engineering from B.V.B College of Engineering and Technology. She got first in her class and received the gold medal in the then Karnataka Chief Minister, Sri Devaraj Urs. After finishing her studies, she chased M.E. in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Science. She got the gold medal in the Indian Institute of Engineers for coming .
Mrs. Murthy became the first female scientist hired India’s biggest car manufacturer TELCO (Tata Engineering and Locomotive Company) today Tata motors. She worked as Development Engineer in various areas such as Pune, Mumbai, and Jamshedpur. She had raised the matter of’men-only” gender bias issues in the corporation. The Chairman of TELCO noted her dilemma and called her for a special interview. She subsequently worked as Senior System Analyst in Walchand set of Industries in Pune.After being in Pune from 1974- 1981, Sudha Murthy transferred to Mumbai. Sudha Murthy had led her Rs. 10,000 rescue to the company Infosys, at the founding of the firm. In 1996 she started using the Infosys Foundation and has been a Trustee of Infosys Foundation. She loves teaching hence pursue her interest in providing training and knowledge to students in PG Center of Bangalore University as Visiting Professor too in educated in Christ College. Whilst working in TELCO in Pune, she met her soul mate Mr. Narayana Murthy and they got married. They have two children Akshata and Rohan. She’s the pillar for the success of Infosys Foundation. She’s still associated with her husband to develop the firm Sudha Murthy is renowned for a lot of philanthropist works. She intends to empower women. She spreads the awareness of rural education, public hygiene, poverty alleviation and a lot more.

Two institutions of higher education, the H.R. Kadim Diwan Building housing the Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) department at IIT Kanpur and the Narayan Rao Melgiri Memorial National Law Library at NLSIU, were equally endowed and inaugurated by the Infosys Foundation.
