Jacqueline Wilson Biography and Career:

Jacqueline Aitken was born in Bath, Somerset, on December 17, 1945. They were Harry, a government official, and Biddy, an antique shop owner. Wilson was promoted to Dame Commander of the British Empire in 2008 after obtaining a knighthood (DBE). Her honorary fellowship at Corpus Christi College, Cambridge, was granted in July of that year. As a result of his efforts, Wilson was given the 2017 BAFTA Children’s Awards Special Award.

In 2014, Wilson was nominated for the international Hans Christian Andersen Award in recognition of her lengthy career in children’s book publishing.
