Jimbo Fisher Biography and Career:

Fisher attended North View Junior High and Liberty High School in Clarksburg, WV. Then he went to Salem College (now Salem University) in Salem, West Virginia, where he played quarterback under Terry Bowden from 1985 to 1986. Fisher followed Bowden to Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, where he finished his career as the Division III National Player of the Year. Fisher still retains several Samford records.

Fisher spent 1988 with the Chicago Bruisers in the Arena Football League before rejoining Terry Bowden at Samford as a graduate assistant quarterback coach. He was then promoted to offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. After two seasons, Fisher joined Bowden at Auburn to teach quarterbacks. Fisher coached Patrick Nix at Auburn.
