John Waters Biography and Career:

John Waters and Patricia Ann Waters welcomed their son into the world on April 22, 1946, in the city of Baltimore, Maryland. His family belonged to the upper-middle class, and his father had built their fortune in the production of fire protection equipment. He spent his childhood in the Baltimore suburb of Lutherville where he grew up. The Roman Catholic faith was practiced inside the household. He received his high school diploma from Boy’s Latin School in Maryland after attending Calvert Hall College High School. Waters had an early interest in the moving picture industry, even at a very young age.

When he was seven years old, he was captivated by a film titled “Lili,” and as a result, he developed a passion for puppetry as a result of seeing the film. From an early age on, his reputation as an aggressive and threatening individual preceded him. It was only shown once in a coffee shop known as the “Beatnik Coffee House,” but in his later years, Waters displayed the movie for a traveling photographic exhibition. The song “Pink Flamingos” was Waters’s first official hit, and it was released in 1973.
