Kat Von D Biography and Career:

Rene Drachenberg and Sylvia Galeano, both originally from Argentina, welcomed their daughter Katherine Von Drachenberg into the world on March 8, 1982, in Montemorelos, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Her mother is of Italian and Spanish origin, while her father is of German descent. However, she has German ancestry. Her brother Michael von Drachenberg and her sister Karoline von Drachenberg are her closest family members, and they all have a strong affinity with one another.

When she was four years old, she and her family moved to Colton, California, from Mexico. They had originally resided in Los Angeles. When she was six years old, she began her formal study of classical piano, and it was around this time that she developed a fondness for the works of Ludwig van Beethoven.
