Lauren Jauregui is a soulful pop singer with an R&B and Latin influence who initially came to public recognition while competing as a member of the singing group Fifth Harmony on the reality television show The X Factor in 2012. She has now gone on to become a solo artist. Fifth Harmony’s Lauren Jauregui has released three Top Ten Billboard 200 albums, the most recent of which was Reflection in 2015 and the most recent of which was 7/27 in 2017.

She has also appeared on the songs “Worth It,” “Boss,” and “Work from Home.” She also began a solo career in 2017, collaborating with Halsey on the single “Strangers” and Steve Aoki on his track “All Night,” both of which were released in 2017. Following the release of her 2018 solo song, “Expectations,” she released her maiden solo EP, Prelude, in 2021, which was followed by a tour.

Jauregui, who was born in 1996 in Miami, Florida, was up in an immigrant home with parents who immigrated to the United States from Cuba when he was a child. She has been interested in music since she was a child, and she has also participated in athletics and talent events at her Catholic school. After reaching her adolescence, she was listening to a diverse range of artists, including Alicia Keys, Paramore, Christina Aguilera, and many more.

She auditioned for The X Factor in Greensboro, North Carolina, when she was 16 years old, singing the song “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys. She was ousted from the competition during the second boot camp phase, but Simon Cowell and the other judges pulled her back and put her in the group Fifth Harmony with fellow singers Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, and Camila Cabello to establish a new group of their own.

Despite the fact that they finished in third place in the end, the trio would go on to become the most successful contestants to emerge from that particular season. In October 2013, they published an EP titled Better Together, which included acoustic Spanish versions of the songs (Juntos and Juntos Acoustic), as well as a remix album, which was released a month later.

They were signed to Epic Records in the United States and Syco Records in the United Kingdom. At the time of their debut song’s release, “Miss Movin’ On,” was the highest-charting X Factor track in the United States. “Sledgehammer” (written by Meghan Trainor) and “Worth It,” a collaboration with rapper Kid Ink, were among the songs on the group’s debut album, Reflection, which was released in early 2015.

The album debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States and later achieved gold certification. Their first headlining tour took place in 2015, as well as their debut album release. The Fountain Kingdom is a hopeless situation. After leaving Fifth Harmony, Jauregui began working on establishing her own solo career. “Back to Me,” a single by Marian Hill released in 2016, features her.

Her next collaboration was with Halsey, who collaborated with her on the single “Strangers,” which appeared on the singer’s sophomore album, Hopeless Fountain Kingdom. She then collaborated with Steve Aoki on his tune “All Night,” which is featured on his album Neon Future III. In addition, she re-joined Fifth Harmony for the release of the group’s sophomore album, 7/27.

The album, which was named after the date on which the group was formally founded during their time on The X Factor, includes production by studio hitmakers such as DallasK, Stargate, Kygo, and other well-known names. After debuting at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 list, the album produced the singles “The Life” and “Work from Home,” both of which featured Ty Dolla $ign as a featured artist.

Fifth Harmony is a group of songs that are sung in a fifth-chord style. Following the release of the album, Cabello departed the group, and Jauregui and her surviving Fifth Harmony members continued to perform as a four-piece. Fifth Harmony made their comeback in the summer of 2017 with the release of the eponymous album. The single “Down,” which featured rapper Gucci Mane, served as a prelude to the release of the album.

The single “Angel,” which was produced by Skrillex and Poo Bear, was also included on the album, as were tracks from Ammo, DallasK, the Monsters & Strangerz, and others. Following the release of the album, Fifth Harmony announced an indefinite break, with Jauregui devoting her time to her solo endeavors. In 2018, she released her first solo track, “Expectations,” which became a hit.

She also toured with Halsey’s Hopeless Fountain Kingdom tour, serving as the opening act on the Latin American leg of the journey. “More Than That,” another non-album track, was released in January of this year. The following year, she contributed the song “Invisible Chains” to the soundtrack for the film Birds of Prey and released the single “Lento,” which was produced by Tainy.
