Leland Tyler Wayne, better known as Metro Boomin, was born on September 16, 1993 in St. Louis, Missouri, in the United States to parents named Lamont and Leslie Wayne. His ancestors are from the city of Atlanta in the state of Georgia in the United States. He is the youngest of four children. When he was in the third grade, his parents had a divorce. After then, his mother was responsible for his upbringing.

In St. Louis County, he received his education at the ‘Parkway North High School.’ In the band he was in throughout middle school, he particularly enjoyed playing the bass guitar.
