Miroslav Nemec Biography and Career:

Born on June 26, 1954, Miroslav Nemec is a German actor, musician, and novelist. He was born in Germany. A member of the Munich investigative pair Batic and Leitmayr, he has been most known for his role as Chief Inspector Ivo Batic, which he has played since 1991 in the crime series Tatort. Miroslav Nemec was born into a family that was of Croatian descent. His father, Milan Strkanec, worked at a bank, while his mother, Nina, went to work as a secretary.

His great-aunt Vinka and her husband Fritz Nemec adopted him when he was twelve years old. This occurred after his parents had finished their divorce proceedings. Fritz Nemec was the proprietor of an engineering office in Freilassing that specialized in the manufacture of railway models and miniature profiles.
