Oprah Winfrey Biography and Career:

On January 29, 1954, Oprah Winfrey was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi, United States. American television personality, actress, and entrepreneur. His syndicated daily talk program was among the most popular in its genre. She became one of America’s wealthiest and most powerful women. One year after The Oprah Winfrey Show ended in May 2011, Oprah’s Next Chapter premiered, a weekly prime-time interview show on OWN.

Since then, OWN has been owned by Discovery Communications, but Oprah Winfrey will continue to be a part of the channel. She also became a correspondent for CBS’s 60 Minutes newsmagazine that year. After announcing a deal with Apple TV+ in 2018, Oprah Winfrey began producing and hosting Oprah Talks COVID-19, a new streaming conversation program, in 2020. After the on-camera execution of George Floyd, an unarmed African American man, by Minneapolis police, she organized a two-part OWN panel discussion, Where Do We Go From Here?, to address the large anti-racism movement that erupted following the incident.
