Phil Driscoll Biography and Career:

Born on November 9, 1947, Phil Driscoll is a trumpeter, vocalist, composer, and producer in addition to being a musician. Although he is recognised for his work in Christian music and his long-term Christian ministry, he performs in a variety of music genres and styles, including rock and roll, rhythm and blues, and patriotic songs. He is best known for his work in Christian music. In 1985, Driscoll won the Grammy Award for Best Gospel Performance – Duo/Group for a duet with Debby Boone on the song “Keep the Flame Burning.” Since then, he has been nominated for three additional Grammys: two for Best Gospel Performance – Male and one for Best Gospel/Pop Album.

Driscoll won the Grammy Award in 1985. Additionally, he is the recipient of three Dove Awards for his music, in addition to the Best Musician award from the Christian Country Music Association in 1999. In 2006, a jury convicted Driscoll guilty of two charges of tax evasion and one count of conspiracy.
