Priscilla Shirer Biography and Career:

Due to her father’s position as pastor of the non-denominational Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship, Priscilla, who is from Dallas, had a strong foundation in the Bible growing up. She worked as a radio station intern while a first-year student at the University of Houston. Soon, listeners started calling the station to request Priscilla’s speaking engagements at Bible study groups and other gatherings. At Dallas Theological Seminary, she started working on her master’s degree after graduating. She soon received an invitation to oversee a weekly Bible study at the Zig Ziglar Company before being asked to join its speaking roster.

Priscilla has hosted a local television show and served as an independent contractor for CBS, but lately she has only been concentrating on Christian missionary opportunities. Priscilla refers to Anne Graham Lotz, the evangelist Dr. Billy Graham’s daughter, as her mentor in the ministry. Anthony Evans Jr., a Christian musician, is her younger brother. Her popular novels include God is Able, Discerning the Voice of God, The Resolution for Women, and Fervent: A Woman’s Battle Plan for Serious, Specific, and Strategic Prayer, which was selected the 2016 Christian Book of the Year.

She is also the author of several nonfiction works. Awaken: 90 Days with the God Who Speaks, her most recent publication, is a 365-day devotional. The Prince Warriors, a fictional 4-book series with a companion 365-day devotional (Unseen), was Priscilla’s entry into the realm of children’s publishing in 2016. It was created to prepare preteen boys and girls for success in spiritual combat.

In addition to Priscilla’s participation in numerous para-church and church conferences throughout the world each year, Going Beyond Ministries also organises AWAKEN, a community outreach event in our hometown intended to inspire and activate women locally. Numerous times a year, this open event in the Dallas-Fort Worth area attracts hundreds of women from many backgrounds and denominations to build community and pray for our city.

Jerry and Priscilla have been wed for 22 years. Jackson, Jerry Jr., and Jude are their three growing boys, and she spends the most of her time caring for them as she studies and writes.
