Robert Iger Biography and Career:

Robert Iger was raised in the village of Oceanside on Long Island, New York, by his Jewish family after he was born there in 1951. His father, Arthur L. Iger, served in the United States Army during World War II and later went on to become the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Greenvale Marketing Corporation. In addition to that, he was a professor of advertising and public relations at a number of universities. Iger’s mother was a teacher at Boardman Junior High School, which is located in Oceanside.
