Samantha Morton Biography and Career:
Samantha Jane Morton is an English actress and director who was born on May 13, 1977. She is well-known for her work in independent productions and has won numerous honors, including a British Academy Television Award, a British Independent Film Award, a Golden Globe Award, as well as nominations for two Academy Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, and a British Academy Film Award.

In 2012, Morton expressed her support for the Fostering Network’s annual campaign Foster Care Fortnight. In an article for The Guardian, Morton had previously detailed the abuse while promoting the semi-autobiographical drama The Unloved.
She participated in the World of Difference program run by the Vodafone Foundation in 2008, which gives people the chance to volunteer for a charity of their choice. She pledged never to work for the BBC again when attending a Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) charity event in January 2009 after they declined to air an urgent charity plea for the victims of Israel’s bombardment on Gaza on December 27, 2008.
Later, Tam Dean Burn, Pauline Goldsmith, Peter Mullan, and Alison Peebles joined her and made similar boycott threats against the company. She also served as the face of a 2009 UK television ad campaign to attract social workers.
