Show Banga Biography and Career:

Rapper William Lassiter, popularly referred to as Show Banga or Showy, is 27 years old and says he wants to utilise music to communicate positive messages. The musician was raised in San Francisco’s Fillmore district and began writing songs at a young age.

His father, ShowTime, was a well-known rapper and the owner of numerous record stores, and his mother was a hip-hop fan as well. They inspired him to follow his dreams. However, he had a challenging upbringing. On the streets, he was raised.

Lassiter and his mother had a falling out after she found a gun in their home. He moved to Vallejo to live with his father as a result, and it was there that he finally met Iamsu and P-Lo, two of the group’s original founders, who together founded the Heartbreak Gang.

Lassiter’s musical career was launched when the group established the Go Gettaz creative collective during his junior year at Pinole High School. Lassiter decided to use hip-hop to communicate a more positive message despite the violence occurring all around him.

His music is heavily influenced by Bay Area culture. We represent the Bay, he said. More than 1.5 million people have listened to “How We Rock,” a song from his most recent album Show Time 2, on SoundCloud. Popular songs by D-Mac, Sage the Gemini, and Kool John, such as “Panoramic,” “I Can Tell,” and “Tbt,” feature Show Banga.

“$quad $quad” is a phrase that Lassiter coined to describe his love for the neighbourhood. According to the rapper, everyone is welcome to take part in $quad $quad. Da Glo Up, Show Banga’s upcoming album, will include a fresh sound.

Tomorrow in the Santa Clara Fairgrounds, a fashion, art, and music festival called Baystock SJ will feature a performance by Show Banga. He plans to release his album Da Glo Up in October. Show Banga was nurtured in the Fillmore District of San Francisco, California, the city of his birth.

He began rapping at the age of seven and wanted to make music his career by high school. Early on, he participated in the local rap group Go – Gettaz, which gained popularity in the area and went on to tour the area before breaking up.

By 2011, Show Banga started putting out his own solo music and participating in local Team BackPack cyphers. He began putting out solo music on HomeTeam Entertainment as early as 2013. Singles from that year included “No Losses” in May and “Do My Own Thang,” which featured Iamsu!, CJ, and P-Lo.

He also released the deluxe edition of his album Don’t Stop Votin’ on HomeTeam in October 2013. In 2014, he released more tracks and continues to make appearances in episodes of TeamBackpack’s Road to A3C cypher series. He also contributed as a guest artist to songs by Sage the Gemini, including “Panoramic,” in 2014.

The song “I Been That” by Show Banga, featuring Sage the Gemini, was featured in the Roof Vol. 1 mix released by the music website Noisey in late 2014. The Bay Area rap scene was represented in the mix. Showy has “been a ninja for a few years,” according to the outlet.

He first caught their attention with “Shots Fired” in 2011 and soon after became a fan favourite on the TeamBackPack cyphers. Even if Show Banga hasn’t yet had that one massive hit, we know it’s on the way, and “I Been That” is a step in that direction.

With its use of a similar driving bass line to Clyde Carson’s “Slow Down” and Sage The Gemini’s “Gas Pedal,” “I Been That” employs a tried-and-true formula. Local radio stations began playing “I Been That” after which Show Banga’s brand-new song, “Milli,” which was created by Dave-O of The A-Team, was played.

Show Banga allegedly boasts one of the rarest [rap] flows in the Bay Area, with “I Been That” being a contender for the rapper’s breakthrough song, according to Rehab Online Magazine in November 2014. The track with the most bass, ‘Milli,’ is very rough, though.

In February 2015, he appeared on a Rayven Justice song alongside J. Stalin and Kool John. Around the same period, he also released a handful of solo singles. He gave a performance at SXSW on March 21, 2015, and later declared that he will be Iamsuopening !’s act on the band’s spring Eyes On Me tour.

He released his full-length album Mayor 4 Life on April 7, 2015, on EMPIRE Recordings, HomeTeam, and Mo Betta. E-40, iamsu!, Kool John, Jay Ant, Sage The Gemini, P-Lo, and Kidd Kidd were among the guest performers on the album. Sage The Gemini and P-Lo also appeared on the track “Aww Shit.”

Show Banga has made a number of official music videos, and he has also worked with other artists on songs like “How U Love That,” which also features Iamsu! and Smoovie Baby. In April 2015, Complex Magazine published the video’s premiere.

His technically proficient sophomore album, Showtime 2, with the name honouring his father, a hustler and businessman from the Filmore District, was released on August 12th, 2016.
