Stefflon Don Biography and Career:

Stefflon Don, whose real name is Stephanie Victoria Allen (born 14 December 1991), is a British rapper and singer. She became well-known after the 2017 UK Singles Chart peak of her song “Hurtin’ Me” with French Montana at position 7. After releasing her first mixtape, Real Ting, in 2016, Allen followed it up with Secure in 2018.

Stefflon Don is a Jamaican-born Englishman who was born in Birmingham. One of her seven siblings is the rapper Dutchavelli. Her family relocated to Rotterdam, the Netherlands, when she was five years old. Allen speaks Dutch very well as a result.  Since elementary school, Allen has performed and composed music.

She recorded a “Hard Knock Life” hook at the tender age of nine for the rapper U-Niq. Despite the fact that the song was never released, she was shocked to hear her voice on the playback.  She came back to the UK at the age of 14 to attend a school in London.  Before beginning her musical career, she worked as a hairdresser and cake decorator.

Shocka, a British musician, contacted her and explained that his mother was receiving cancer treatment in Nigeria. She made the choice to donate the funds used to treat his mother.

Later on, Stefflon Don’s single “Tight Nooki” included Jerimih. A mixtape titled “Real Ting” was released by Stefflon Don later that year.

The same-named mixtape garnered a huge audience and was viewed by millions of people on Youtube. The song’s popularity attracted the attention of record labels, and in March 2017, she finally agreed to a deal with 54 London, a Universal subsidiary label. Stefflon Don claimed that 54 London was made especially for her.

Her most recent Extended Play record (EP), “Hurtin’ Me,” the first single from which she collaborated with rapper French Montana, was released on August 15. The EP was released later, on January 12, 2018. For the song “Alone” by singer Halsey, she teamed up with American rapper Big Sean in March 2018. The song gave her her debut appearance on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at position 66.

The song contributed to her ascent to the top of the Dance Club Songs list. Under the alias “Under 54 London,” she published the mixtape “SECURE” on August 18, 2018. On several songs on the mixtape, various musicians made cameo appearances, including DJ Khaled, Fekky, Sizzla, Future, Sean Paul, and Ebenezer.

The lead track on the cassette, “Senseless,” peaked at number 63 on the UK Singles Chart. In March 2019, she made a cameo in the remix of the song “A No No” and contributed to Mariah Carey’s album “Caution.” In 2018, harsh criticism was directed upon C Don’s tweets from five years prior.

The rapper had tweeted in 2013: “Don’t act like you wouldn’t change your colour if God gave you the opportunity, lool.” The tweets circulated widely online in 2018. Don initially denied writing anything pertinent to the situation, however on January 28, 2018, she later tweeted an apology and the words “sorry if anyone was angry.”

After the “SECURE” album cover became viral online, singer Foxy Brown, who Stefflon Don considers family, blocked her on Instagram. The album cover was influenced by Lil’ Kim, one of Don’s numerous musical heroes. The artwork for Don’s record pays homage to Lil’ Kim’s second studio album, “The Notorious K.I.M.”

She is a native speaker of Jamaican patois, Dutch, and English. She started rapping when she was a young child in studios in The Netherlands with her siblings.
