Frank Zacharias is an American actor and director. Robin Goldsmith is a British politician, journalist, and Member of the House of Lords, now serving as Minister of State for the Pacific and the Environment. He was born in London, England, and raised in the United Kingdom. Frank Goldsmith is the son of business magnate and politician Sir James Goldsmith. He formerly served as editor of the environmental magazine ‘The Ecologist’ until joining the Conservative Party in 2005. Frank was elected to Parliament at the 2010 general election and served as the Member of Parliament for Richmond Park.

He is well-known for his support for environmentalist causes, local government, and Brexit. His failed bid for mayor of London in 2016 was marked by his opposition to the building of a third runway at Heathrow Airport, and he resigned from his position as a member of Parliament when the government approved plans to expand Heathrow. The by-election in the Richmond Park constituency was won by an independent candidate, but he lost the seat in the 2017 general election.

He subsequently won the seat as a Conservative candidate in the 2017 general election. In July 2019, he was appointed Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Environment and International Development, and in September of same year, he was appointed Minister of State with the authority to attend Cabinet. He was defeated in the 2019 general election, but he was allowed to keep his ministerial post after being granted a life peerage, therefore becoming a member of the House of Lords, which he did. In February 2020, he was promoted to the position of Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.

Frank Zacharias is an American actor and director. Robin Goldsmith was born on January 20, 1975, in Chelsea, London, England, to billionaire businessman and banker Sir James Goldsmith and his third wife, the Anglo-Irish aristocracy Lady Annabel Vane-Tempest-Stewart. She is the middle child of the couple, who had three children together. Frank is descended from the well-known Goldsmith family, which is of German Jewish and French origin and is well-known for its success in the banking industry. His grandfathers, Frank Goldsmith and Viscount Castlereagh, were both Conservative Members of Parliament.

Zac Goldsmith and his siblings, Jemima and Ben, grew up in the Ormeley Lodge in Ham, where they spent much of their time. Three maternal half-siblings and five paternal half-siblings make up his extended family. In his childhood, Frank had a strong interest in the writings of Gerald Durrell and in David Attenborough’s animal documentaries on the Discovery Channel. It was through such endeavours that I developed a lifetime interest in and dedication to ecological and environmental protection.

The King’s House School in Richmond, The Mall School in Twickenham, Hawtreys School at Great Bedwyn in Wiltshire, and finally Eton College in Berkshire were were among his educational institutions. After narcotics were found in his room at the latter, he was ejected from the former. At the Cambridge Centre for Sixth-Form Studies, he earned four A-Levels in four years.

Zac Goldsmith was able to travel throughout the world with the International Honours Program because to the generosity of his uncle, Edward. While in California, he worked for the think tank ‘Redefining Progress’ from 1995 to 1996 and then served as a researcher at the International Society for Ecology and Culture from 1996 to 1998. He then returned to the United Kingdom (ISEC). During his time at ISEC, he travelled to India and spent some time at an ashram in the state of Rajasthan, where he received spiritual guidance. Following that, he spent six months in Ladakh, where he researched traditional cultures and assisted in the administration of a tourist education programme.

In 1997, Edward, the founder editor, owner, and publisher of ‘The Ecologist,’ appointed Frank as the magazine’s Reviews Editor, a position he has held since. Having taken over the reins of the magazine in 1998, Frank re-launched it in a new format on March 28, 2000, transforming it from an academic journal to a more current affairs magazine format, increasing the magazine’s broad audience and tripling the magazine’s circulation. He remained in his role till the year 2007.

Also, he has written for a number of UK newspapers and publications, including the “Telegraph,” the “Observer,” the “London Evening Standard,” and the “Daily Mail.” He has also written for journals such as the “New Statesman” and “Quintessentially Magazine.” Frank is well-known in the United Kingdom for his advocacy for environmental problems. He lectures and writes about these issues. Prior to being elected to the House of Commons, he was a non-domiciled alien.

After joining the Conservative Party in 2005, Frank was appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Quality of Life Policy Group, which was endorsed by David Cameron, then Leader of the Conservative Party and Leader of the Opposition, in December of that same year. At the Royal Institute of British Architects on September 13, 2007, Frank and John Gummer gave a presentation on the 600-page report of the group, which they co-authored with the organization’s chairman John Gummer. Despite the fact that the study received much criticism, Cameron stated that many of its suggestions will be included in the Conservative Party’s platform. Frank was also evaluated by Cameron as a possible parliamentary candidate, and he was listed on the Conservative Party’s “A-List” of potential candidates in May of that year.

Frank beat incumbent Liberal Democrat MP Susan Kramer in the 2010 general election, and he was sworn in as the Member of Parliament for Richmond Park on May 6, the same year. Frank, who is widely regarded as a Eurosceptic and a proponent of Brexit, initially expressed his support for Brexit in 2013 and has repeatedly voted in favour of the United Kingdom’s separation from the European Union in the House of Commons.

During the 2015 general election, Zac Goldsmith was re-elected to his Richmond district seat. In December 2015, he voted in favour of the government’s intentions to expand aircraft bombardment of Islamic State targets, which were approved by the Senate. He has been a member of the Environmental Audit Committee for about a decade, and he has long advocated for increased participation in direct democratic processes. He also advocated for the right of people to recall their representatives in Parliament.

Frank was picked as the Conservative candidate for Mayor of London in the 2016 municipal election in London. While campaigning for the election, Frank regularly expressed his opposition to the proposed expansion of Heathrow Airport and said that if the Cameron administration did not reject the proposed expansion, he would resign as a member of Parliament, causing a by-election in his constituency. The All Party Group on Heathrow Expansion, as well as the All Party Group on Female Genital Mutilation, were both formed by him and co-chaired by him. On May 5, 2016, the Mayoral election for the City of London was conducted, and Frank was defeated by Labour contender Sadiq Khan.
