Soulja Boy Biography and Career:

DeAndre Cortez Way, better known as Soulja Boy, was born on July 28, 1990, in the city of Chicago, Illinois, the United States. The young Way relocated to Atlanta with his family when he was just six years old. Way’s passion for music was the driving force behind his decision to pursue a career in music. At the age of 14, his father gave him the means to pursue his musical aspirations by providing him with a recording studio in the town of Batesville in the state of Mississippi.

The internet was the platform that launched Soulja Boy’s career as a musician. In November of 2005, he published a song on the website SoundClick that received favorable feedback from listeners. Because of this, he decided to launch his musical career by creating profiles on the websites YouTube and Myspace.
