Carli Lloyd Biography and Career:

Carli Lloyd is an American soccer player who has won two gold medals in the Olympics. She plays for the Los Angeles Galaxy. She is now a member of the Manchester City soccer team and has scored the winning goals in both the 2008 and 2012 Olympics, earning two gold medals for the United States. She is the only player, male or female, to score a gold medal-winning goal in two Olympics.

She helped the United States team win gold at the 2015 World Cup. She scored the game-winning goal against Colombia at the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil. The United States took home the silver medal in the event. The Olympic Qualifiers in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, marked the beginning of the 2012 season for the United States squad. The United States squad defeated the Dominican Republic 14–0 in the opening match, with Lloyd contributing one goal and one assist in the victory. In the second match, the United States squad trounced Guatemala 13–0, with Lloyd contributing an assist in the process.
