Christine Diane Teigen is a well-known American model and television personality. She was born on November 30, 1985, in the United States. She made her debut as a professional model in the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 2010, and in 2014, she was featured on the cover of the magazine’s 50th-anniversary issue with Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge.
She was a regular participant on the panel of the nationally syndicated daytime talk program FABLife (2015–2016) in the past. Additionally, Teigen is the author of three different cookbooks.
After Teigen’s mother moved back to Thailand, her father uprooted the family and forced them to Huntington Beach, California, when she was 15. During this time, she was employed at a surf store, and it was via the customers of the business that she was brought to the attention of a photographer, who ultimately led to her landing a modeling job with the apparel brand Billabong.
Teigen resided in Miami, Florida, “for four years, six months out of the year” while starting as a model. During the first episode of the game show Deal or No Deal and the first season, Teigen appeared as a briefcase model. She was featured in the swimsuit edition of Sports Illustrated in 2010, the same year the magazine awarded her “Rookie of the Year” honors.
Her close friend and fellow model, Brooklyn Decker, was the one who brought her to the attention of the casting directors at Sports Illustrated. The following year, she collaborated with swimsuit designer DiNeila Brazil to create a capsule collection, which they presented at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami. Additionally, she appeared as a featured character in the 2011 video game Need For Speed: The Run, which Electronic Arts developed.
Additionally, she was the star of a Cooking Channel program titled “Cookies and Cocktails,” which she shot. After those two years, Teigen became the presenter of the competition series Model Employee, which aired on VH1. In addition, she was highlighted in another Cooking Channel special titled “Chrissy Teigen’s Hungry,” which detailed the wedding meal tasting she and her then-fiancé, John Legend, participated in.
She debuted in the music video for John Legend’s song “All of Me” in October 2013, including footage from the couple’s wedding. During an episode of Inside Amy Schumer that aired in April 2014, Teigen portrayed a fictionalized version of herself as a relationship counselor. During the same year, she was featured with Nina Agdal and Lily Aldridge on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue to commemorate its 50th anniversary.
Teigen had a cameo appearance on the comedy The Mindy Project in January 2015, playing the role of the main character’s first romantic partner, the guy whose girlfriend the main character was seeing at the time. Since April, she has been working with LL Cool J as one of the musical competition series Lip Sync Battle hosts. At the 2015 Billboard Music Awards, she and Ludacris shared the hosting duties.

She released a book in February 2016 titled Cravings: Recipes for All of the Food You Want to Eat, which became a bestseller in The New York Times and the year’s second-best-selling cookbook overall.
The following year, Teigen presented her apparel collection, which was produced in conjunction with the firm Revolve, which specializes in fashion. She published her second book, Cravings: Hungry For More, which was released in September 2018. Concurrently, she launched a collection of kitchenware sold only at Target. She was named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people in the world for 2019, published in 2019.
The year after that, Teigen appeared on the series Bring the Funny, serving as a judge for the comedy competition. In November, she released her food website, Cravings, by Chrissy Teigen. The website offers recipes and recommendations for restaurants and hosting events. In April 2020, Chrissy’s Court, a series featuring Teigen that takes place in a courtroom, made its premiere on Quibi.

The series was able to continue when the platform was discontinued later that year, and it was moved to The Roku Channel in May 2021. The first episode of the second season was shown in June 2022. It was the unscripted show debut with the most viewers in the site’s history. The third season’s debut is scheduled for October 21st, 2022.
Teigen considers herself to be a feminist, and she has every intention of instilling this ideology in her offspring.
