David Bonderman Biography and Career:

David Bonderman is a multibillionaire investor, entrepreneur, and philanthropist from the United States. After practising law for a while, he decided to try his hand at business instead and quickly rose to prominence. He helped establish what is now called TPG Capital, formerly known as the private equity investment company Texas Pacific Group. Within 2 years, he had co-founded Newbridge Capital, a private equity investment firm that poured money into the Asian and Latin American sectors.

Bonderman and his wife Laurie Michaels have five children. They are based out of Fort Worth, Texas. Formed in 1995, the “Bonderman Travel Fellowship” is an initiative of the University of Washington. In addition to his work with The Wilderness Society and WWF, he has served on the boards of many other nonprofits, including UW’s Foundation, the Grand Canyon Trust, and the American Himalayan Foundation.
His involvement with the T-Mobile Arena dates back to 2008 when he was named a stakeholder in the facility. He assumed the role of chairman of ‘TPG Capital’ in 2015. With time and expansion, the corporation amassed $108 billion in assets.
