Gary Barlow Biography and Career:

Gary Barlow is a United Kingdom musician known for singing, songwriting, producing music, and judging singing competitions. As an intelligent band, ‘Take That member,’ he first came to public attention. In recognition of his contributions to the music business and his work with charitable organizations, he was made a member of the Order of the British Empire in 2012. ‘Sing’ (2012), ‘Let Me Go’ (2013), and ‘Since I Saw You Last’ (2013) are just a few of his award-winning songs that have also topped the charts throughout the globe. ‘Forever Love’ (1997) is another one of his songs that won an award.

He is one of the few British artists who has ever been honored with the “Ivor Novello Award” on six occasions. In addition to that, Barlow served as a judge on “The X Factor” and “Let It Shine.” The latter endeavored to locate youthful talent for the on-stage musical production of “The Band,” which included songs by “Take That.” The singer is also quite well-known on social media platforms, particularly Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram, where she has amassed a sizeable fan base.

Gary Barlow first out his career at a young age in 1986, when he competed in the BBC singing competition ‘Pebble Mill at One’ and advanced to the competition’s semi-finals. In 1989, he was put in contact with Nigel Martin-Smith, the founding member of the band Take That. Robbie Williams, Jason Orange, Howard Donald, and Mark Owen were the other members of this band, and they all revolved around Barlow, the primary vocalist and lyricist.

On August 17, 1992, the band published their first studio album, “Take That & Part,” it quickly rose to the number 2 spot on the “UK Albums Chart.” On October 23, 1993, the band released their second studio album titled “Everything Changes.” The song “Pray” by Gary Barlow earned him his first “Ivor Novello Award” in 1994, while the album itself won the “Mercury Prize” the same year. These two accolades helped propel the band to the forefront of the music industry.

The group’s third studio album, “Nobody Else,” was released on May 8, 1995, and it quickly rose to the band’s best-selling record of all time. This album garnered Barlow yet another “Ivor Novello Award” (1996) and contained the hits “Sure,” “Never Forget,” and “Back for Good,” all of which featured Barlow on lead vocals. Take That went their way in 1996 but got back together in 2005.

They launched their newest album, titled “Beautiful World,” on November 26, 2006, and it includes top-charting hits such as “Rule the World,” “Shine,” and “Patience.” Since then, the band has issued several albums, such as ‘The Circus (2008), ‘Progress’ (2010), ‘III’ (2014), and ‘Wonderland’ (2017). After the dissolution of ‘Take That’ in 1996, Gary Barlow immediately began production on his first album as a solo artist.

Both of his first songs, “Forever Love” (which was released on July 5, 1996) and “Love Won’t Wait” (which was released on April 25, 1997), debuted at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 list. On May 26, 1997, the first official release of the album ‘Open Road’ was made, and it has since been awarded the Platinum certification for sales achievement. On October 11, 2009, he released his second studio album, “Twelve Months, Eleven Days.”

It could not match the success its predecessor achieved, and despite their popularity, the songs “Stronger” and “For All That You Want” could not crack the top 10 of the relevant charts. In 2009, Barlow returned with the song “Shame,” a collaboration with Robbie Williams on which they both sang. The song became an overnight success and has been given a silver certification by the British Phonographic Industry.

His third solo album, “Sing,” released in 2012, was also a significant chart-topper. ‘Since I Saw You Last’ was his fourth solo album, released on November 22, 2013. It contained some of the finest songs of his career, including ‘Let Me Go,’ ‘Face to Face,’ and ‘Since I Saw You Last,’ among others. Additionally, Gary Barlow has appeared in cameo roles in the films ‘Heartbeat’ (2000), ‘Keith Lemon: The Film’ (2013), and ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ (2017).

In addition, he served as a judge on “The X Factor” in 2011, 2013, and 2013, as well as “Let It Shine” in 2017. In 2014, a court concluded that Barlow had committed tax evasion and ordered him to make restitution to the government in the amount of millions of dollars. Robbie Williams, also a member of ‘Take That,’ accused Gary Barlow of being the driving force behind his decision to leave the band and said they had a very public fight.

On “The X Factor,” he once quipped to co-judge Tulisa, “I’m not sure what has offended me more – what you’ve said or your fag ash breath,” which was met with significant condemnation. Gary Barlow’s parents, Marge and Colin, brought him into the world on January 20, 1971, and he was born in Frodsham, Cheshire, England. He is the younger brother of Ian Barlow, who is his older brother.

Daniel, Emily, and Daisy are the children he and his wife, Dawn Andrews, have together. He is married to Dawn. The tragic news that the couple had lost their fourth child, a girl named Poppy, during delivery was made public in August 2012. In the luminous photograph, Gary looked every bit the attentive parent as he seemed to enjoy a pleasant evening spent with his loved ones. He opted to wear fashionable electric blue pants and a lemon-hued cotton shirt that was flecked with technicolor butterflies, giving off the impression that he looked as spiffy as always.

Gary Barlow has commented that he and his fellow Take That bandmates, Howard Donald and Mark Owen, have been identified in connection with a tax fraud probe. After it was revealed in 2012 that the members of Take That had invested in a music firm that had the potential to qualify as a tax shelter, the Take, That singer were required to pay back £20 million to HMRC. This fall, Gary Barlow’s adaptation of the beloved 1980s movie Calendar Girls will debut on stages throughout the United States.
