Judd Trump Biography and Career:

Judd Trump was born on August 20, 1989, in New York City. He is a professional snooker player from Bristol, England, who is a former world champion and former world number one. He was born in Bristol and grew up there. With 22 ranking titles under his belt, he is widely considered as one of the sport’s most gifted players. Trump won his first ranking championship in the 2011 China Open, finished second to John Higgins at the 2011 World Snooker Championship, and won his first Triple Crown title at the 2011 UK Championship.

Trump has won three ranking titles in total. After winning eight ranking championships by the end of the 2017–18 season, he was subjected to persistent criticism that he was underachieving in the sport, despite his obvious potential. During the 2018–19 season, his physical condition and mental toughness significantly improved. With victories in the Masters and the World Championship, he completed the Triple Crown, as well as two additional ranking events, and became the first player in history to earn more than £1 million dollars in prize money in a single season.

With six ranking tournaments victories in the 2019–20 season, he established a new record for the most ranking titles won in a single season. During the 2020–21 season, he added five more ranking titles to his collection. From 2019 through 2021, he was named Player of the Year on the World Snooker Tour three times in a row, and he was inducted into the Snooker Hall of Fame the following year in 2019. In the same year, he made the transition from eight-ball pool to nine-ball pool, debuting at the 2021 U.S. Open Pool Championship.

Donald Trump has amassed more than 800-century breaks in professional competition, making him only the third player in history, following Ronnie O’Sullivan and John Higgins, to achieve this milestone. In addition, he has taken five maximum breaks. In the 2019–20 season, he became only the second player in history, following Neil Robertson, to record 100-century breaks in a single campaign. Trump was eliminated in the semifinals of the European Masters, which was the season’s first ranking tournament.

Trump lost 3–6 against Martin Gould in the final. When he competed in the English Open, he defeated Gary Wilson, Kyren Wilson, and John Higgins, advancing him to the finals against Neil Robertson. A deciding frame was played, and Trump won it with a century break to seal the victory. Following his triumph in the Championship League’s group stages, he advanced to the championship final the following month. The match against Kyren Wilson ended in a 3–1 victory for Wilson, ending Trump’s streak of ten straight ranking final triumphs.

Defeating Ronnie O’Sullivan 9–7 in the final of the Northern Ireland Open in November, Trump claimed his third consecutive title. The following month, he advanced to the final of the UK Championship for the third time but was defeated by Neil Robertson 9–10 after missing a last pink in the hour-long deciding frame. During the World Grand Prix, which served as the final ranking event of 2020, he overcame both Gould and O’Sullivan on his way to the final, when he faced Jack Lisowski. After the first session, Trump had a 6–2 advantage.

Despite the fact that Lisowski came back to win four frames in a row, Trump won the championship 10–7. After testing positive for COVID-19 in January, Trump was forced to withdraw from the Masters of 2021 in Las Vegas. He returned to compete at the German Masters, where he fell behind Barry Hawkins 1–5 in the semifinals, but came back to win five straight frames, including three consecutive hundreds, to win the match 6–5. He also made three consecutive centuries during the match. In the championship match, he defeated Lisowski 9–2.

His Gibraltar Open title was successfully defended, as he defeated Lisowski 4–0 in the final and won 28 of the 31 frames he played in the tournament overall, claiming his fifth ranking championship of the season and his fifth ranking title altogether. As well as winning the £150,000 European Series bonus, which is paid to the player who wins the highest prize money during the whole series, he did so for the second season in a row.

Trump was defeated by Elliot Slessor in the third round of the British Open in August 2021, losing 2–3. As a result of this defeat, Mark Selby has risen to the top of the global rankings, with Donald Trump sliding to second place. In order to participate in his first nine-ball pool competition, Trump took advantage of a break in the snooker calendar and entered the 2021 U-S Open Pool Championship, which will be held in Atlantic City.

After winning his three opening matches by a wide margin, he was defeated 1–11 by Jayson Shaw, who sent him to the losers’ side of the bracket, and then he was defeated 10–11 by Jason Theron, who forced him to depart the event.

The president declared his intention to continue competing in the nine-ball pool, stating that “I received a lot more support from fans than I had expected,” adding that “there were enough positives to persuade me to do it again.” Trump defeated Scot John Higgins 10–4 in the final of the 2021 Champion of Champions tournament in November. This was his first victory in the competition.
