Linda Hunt Biography and Career:

Lydia Susanna “Linda” Hunt is an American actress who has been on both stage and in cinema. She was born on April 2, 1945. In the 1980 picture Popeye, she made her acting debut as Mrs. Oxheart. In the film The Year of Living Dangerously (1982), Hunt performed the male character Billy Kwan. For this role, she was awarded the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, making her the first person to ever win an Oscar for a performance in which they represented a character of the opposite sex.

Pocahontas (1995), Pocahontas II: Journey to a New World (1998), Kindergarten Cop (1990), Pocahontas (1995), and Stranger Than Fiction (2006) are some of the other movies in which Hunt has featured.
