Charles Ergen Biography and Career:

American businessman Charles William Ergen is worth a billion dollars. On March 1, 1953, he was born. He is also the board chairman for both Dish Network and EchoStar, which he helped make. In May 2011, he decided to step down as CEO of Dish and give that job to Joseph Clayton. Clayton retired on March 31, 2015, and Ergen became CEO. He stayed in that position until December 2017, when he promoted President and Chief Operating Officer Erik Carlson to CEO.
