She is presently a co-presenter on the television programmes “Dancing on Ice” and “This Morning,” both of which she does with Phillip Schofield.
In addition, she is a team captain on the show “Celebrity Juice,” which airs on ITV2 and is hosted by Fearne Cotton. She became well known for her work as a children’s entertainer and her co-hosting of the CITV quiz show “Ministry of Mayhem” with Stephen Mulhern. She served as the presenter of the newly relaunched “Surprise, Surprise” for a total of four seasons. Other prominent programmes that she has worked on include ‘The Xtra Factor,’ the charity telethon ‘Text Santa,’ ‘The Voice UK,’ and ‘Play to the Whistle,’ which is a sports-based panel show.
She has also hosted a number of dating series, including ‘Streetmate,’ ‘Holly & Fearne Go Dating,’ and ‘Meet the Parents,’ among others. She has collaborated with her sister Kelly on a children’s book series, written another book with her close friend and colleague Fearne Cotton, and written and published a couple of books that are intended to be of assistance to new moms. Holly Marie Willoughby was born on February 10, 1981, in Brighton, England.
Her parents were Brian R. Willoughby and Linda J. (née Fleming), who was married at the time. Her mother was a flight attendant, and her father worked as a sales manager for a firm that manufactured double-glazed windows. She is the second-to-last child of her parents and grew up in Woodmancote with her elder sister, Kelly Willoughby, who also became a television personality.
She is the youngest of three children. She first enrolled at the private Burgess Hill Girls school in Burgess Hill, which is located in West Sussex, and then continued her education at the College of Richard Collyer in Horsham. Holly Willoughby first met her future husband, Dan Baldwin, when she was working on the programme “Ministry of Mayhem” in 2004. Dan Baldwin was one of the show’s producers, and they wed on August 4, 2007.
Together, the couple has three children: a boy named Chester William Baldwin, who was born on May 11, 2009; a girl named Belle Baldwin, who was born on April 14, 2011; and a son named Harry James Baldwin, who was born on May 11, 2009. (born September 29, 2014). Holly Willoughby was discovered by talent scouts at “The Clothes Show” Live exhibition in 1995 when she was only 14 years old. They signed her to Storm Model Management as a teen model after seeing her at the exhibition while on a school trip.
She made her debut in publications such as “Mizz,” “Just Seventeen,” “Shout,” and “More! ” at the age of 17, and went on to become a model for companies like Rimmel (cosmetics) and Pretty Polly (innerwear) the following year. She became confident in front of the camera after making many appearances in TV commercials, which prompted her to accompany a friend to an audition for the new CITV programme, ‘S Club TV,’ in order to pursue a career as a TV presenter. Alongside the English pop group ‘S Club 7,’ which was featured in the programme, she also performed the role of Zoe in a different production titled ‘S Club 7: Artistic Differences,’ which was produced by the same company.
She was forced to take on a variety of menial occupations throughout the course of the subsequent years. For a period of time, she was employed as a receptionist, and she also worked as a runner for the now-defunct shopping channel “Auction World TV.” During this period, she also attended the Open University to complete a study in psychotherapy. She was able to get a position as an assistant manager in the end, and with the assistance of a friend, she produced a showreel that she then sent to the BBC via an agency.
This led to her being hired as a presenter on ‘Xchange,’ a factual entertainment programme for children that was shown on CBBC in 2003. After that, she went on to host various more children’s programmes, including ‘X-perimental,’ and ‘CBBC at the Fame Academy.’ In 2004, she made her way back to CITV in order to co-host a game show for youngsters titled Ministry of Mayhem.
Due to the fact that she and her coworker Stephen Mulhern achieved such great success as hosts of the show, the title of the programme was changed to “Holly and Stephen’s Saturday Showdown” in the year 2006. She was a co-host on the finale of the children’s version of “Stars in Their Eyes” in 2004, as well as the children’s entertainment show “Feel the Fear” in 2005. Both of these events took place in 2004. She continued to make appearances on a number of children’s programmes and had a brief run as a presenter on ‘CD: UK’ during the spring of 2005.
She was given the opportunity to co-host the television programme “Dancing on Ice” with Phillip Schofield in 2006, and while she left the show in 2011 owing to other responsibilities in her life, she came back in 2018 to reprise her role. She has served as a host on many ITV programmes, including “Celebrity Wrestling: Bring It On” in 2005, “Greased Lightnin'” in 2007, and “The Xtra Factor” from 2008 to 2009. She took over as host of the dating game show “Streetmate” when Davina McCall stepped down when the programme relocated from Channel 4 to ITV2 in the year 2007. She also co-presented another dating programme that year with Fearne Cotton called Holly & Fearne Go Dating.
