(2020), her fourth studio album, was published to widespread critical praise, debuted at position three in the UK album charts, and was responsible for the creation of the songs “Spotlight,” “Save a Kiss,” and “Remember Where You Are.”

Her most recent studio album, titled That! Feels Good! (2023), is responsible for the song “Free Yourself.” It also peaked at number sixteen on the Top Album Sales list in the United States and reached number three in the United Kingdom. Ware has been nominated for six Brit Awards nominations, including one for the British Female Solo Artist category and four for Best New Artist.

Her mother encouraged her throughout her early musical career, and Ware refers to her as “her hero.” “She brought up my sister, brother, and me with so much love and fun and always told me I could do anything I want,” Ware says of her mother. “She brought up my sister, brother, and us with much love and fun.” Ware’s upbringing in the Jewish religion may be attributed to her mother, who is Jewish. Ware had her schooling at Alleyn’s School, a co-educational private school in Dulwich in South London. At Alleyn’s School, she attended the same classes as Florence Welch, Jack Peate, and Felix White of the Maccabees, among other notable individuals.

After that, she received a degree in English literature from the University of Sussex, where she had previously graduated. After completing her education, Ware worked behind the scenes at the television production business Love Productions and did a short stint as a writer for The Jewish Chronicle. She also covered sports for The Daily Mirror. There, she worked with Erika Leonard, also known as E. L. James, the author of Fifty Shades of Grey. She was one of her colleagues.

Ware sang backup vocals at live events for Jack Peate and Man Like Me in the years leading up to the release of her first solo album. Jack Peate was the one who brought Ware on tour in the United States. “Performing with him was excellent training because I got to learn all about how other people do it – I was able to perform live without the pressure of being a lead singer,” remarked Ware, reflecting on her time working with Jack Peate.

It provided with a preview of what was to come and helped me prepare for what I was doing today. Ware was first introduced to SBTRKT via Tic, who is a member of Peate’s band. Subsequently, Ware and SBTRKT worked together on the song “Nervous” (2010). As a direct result, she got to meet Sampha, who was recognized as SBTRKT’s primary collaborator at the time. Together, they devised the song “Valentine,” released by Young Turks in 2011 as a limited edition single on a vinyl record fashioned like a heart.

“Valentine” was partially inspired by the song “The Wilhelm Scream” by James Blake and was also based on the band members’ experiences in romantic relationships. Marcus Soderlund is responsible for directing the “Valentine” music video. Ware was able to get a record contract with PMR Records thanks to the singles “Nervous” and “Valentine,” as well as an extra collaboration with DJ Joker titled “The Vision.”In addition, she contributed to Florence and the Machine’s album Ceremonials, which was released in 2011, with her close friend Florence Welch serving as the band’s primary vocalist.

Even though it was released on limited 10″ purple vinyl on October 14, 2011, Ware’s first solo single, “Strangest Feeling,” failed not to chart on the UK Singles Chart. Ware released the record on October 14, 2011. Ware released her first studio album, Devotion, on August 20, 2012; it reached its highest position on the UK Albums Chart at number five. The first single from the album, “Running,” was released on February 24, 2012. The song “110%” was the album’s second single, released on April 13th. It reached its highest position in the United Kingdom at number 61.

The song “Wildest Moments” was released as the third single from the album on June 29th, and it reached its highest position in the United Kingdom at number 46. On August 24th, “Night Light” was made available for purchase as the fourth single. In the same year, it was revealed that Devotion would be considered for the coveted Mercury Prize. Beginning in Cambridge, continuing via Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, Oxford, and Bristol, and finishing in London, Ware embarked on a tour of the United Kingdom in early March 2013, which Laura Mvula backed.

After the tour of the United Kingdom, the band toured Europe in the second part of March 2013, and then they toured the United States in April of the same year. Jessie and Ware performed at several festivals all over the globe throughout the summer of 2013, and at the year’s conclusion, Ware returned to the United States for another tour. Tough Love, the second studio album that Ware published, was made available on October 6, 2014.
