Jordan Stephens Biography and Career:

“Jordan” David Stephens is a singer, actor, and broadcaster. He was born for the first time on January 25, 1992. The two things that brought him the most fame were his role as one half of the band Rizzle Kicks and his hosting of the panel program Don’t Hate the Playaz on ITV2. Steve Stephens was born in Neasden to parents Herman Stephens and Emma Boulting. When he was four years old, he became acquainted with Harley Alexander-Sule, with whom he established Rizzle Kicks, a band that had eight entries on the UK Singles Chart and two entries on the UK Albums Chart.

“Rizzle,” “Wildhood,” “Al, the Native,” “Gnarly Ventura,” and “Jordan Stephens” are some of the identities that he has used to release solo songs. As an actor, he has made appearances in the television series Glue, Uncle, Drunk History, Catastrophe, and Feel Good, as well as in the films Alleycats, Access All Areas, Rogue One, Teen Spirit, Tucked, and The Ex-Wife. Additionally, he has made appearances as himself in several unscripted reality shows, one of which is Don’t Hate the Playaz, which he hosts.

Before relocating to Brighton when he was eleven years old, he spent his childhood on a council estate in Neasden[6]. Blatchington Mill School was the school he attended throughout his time in Brighton. He first saw Harley Alexander-Sule when he was four years old, but they lost touch. He reconnected with him when he was eleven years old when he was attending a Sunday league football match. During their time at AudioActive, they both participated in the same Hip Hop Foundation initiative.

A charity based in Brighton, and both of them attended BRIT School, with Stephens majoring in broadcasting and digital communication. He stated in an article published in The Guardian in September 2022 that he chose to study music after being informed by the principle that the entry standard for music was such that individuals who did not play at least two instruments were not required to apply.

He and Alexander-Sule formed Rizzle Kicks in 2008 after Stephens asked Alexander-Sule to sing on his mixtape ‘Minor Breaches of Discipline’; Stephens had acquired the nickname “Green Rizla” at school after being accused of being part of a crew with that name, with that nickname later evolving into “Rizzle”, and the “Kicks” part of the name coming from them both having just played a game of football.

Stephens performed under the pseudonym “Rizzle” on the track “Muddled Morning” which was included on Hint’s album Driven from Distraction, which was released in 2008. Rizzle Kicks released a total of eight singles that made it onto the UK Singles Chart between the years 2011 and 2014. These singles include Down with the Trumpets, Heart Skips a Beat, When I Was a Youngster, Mama Do the Hump, Traveller’s Chant, Lost Generation, Skip to the Good Bit, and Tell Her. Additionally, the band released two albums that made it onto the UK Albums Chart, namely Stereo Typical and Roaring 20s.
