Jos Buttler Biography and Career:

Joseph Charles Buttler, often known as ‘Jos Buttler,’ is an English cricketer who plays for the England national team. Mr. T is a right-handed batter and wicketkeeper who is well-known for his aggressive approach to the game of cricket. Buttler has played vital innings on a number of occasions due to his ability to think outside the box and score runs at a high rate of the strike. In addition to representing England in the one-day international and Twenty20 versions of the game, he has been a key member of the England Test team since its formation in 2014.

His performance in the Twenty20 format has elevated him to the top of the list of the most sought-after players in franchise Twenty20 cricket throughout the globe. A partnership of 340 runs with Alex Barrow resulted in him scoring his highest career total of 227 not out for the ‘King’s College’ cricket team in April 2008. Aside from that, when playing for Somerset Second XI versus Worcestershire Second XI, he showed off his wicket-keeping abilities by scooping up six catches in the field of play.

In July 2008, he played in two warm-up matches against the New Zealand U-19 squad, representing the England U-17 team. In a one-day contest against New Zealand, he hit 77 runs off 49 balls, helping the hosts to a victory. Later, in a two-day encounter that finished in a tie, he scored 45 runs in the first innings.

In 2009, he represented the England U-18 cricket team, scoring a total of 103 not out in the first of four matches. Later, he competed in the ‘Under-19 World Cup,’ where he batted an average of 30.33 in five games and ended with a batting average of 30.33.
In 2009, he made his first-class debut for Somerset when he came in as a replacement for the injured Justin Langer at a ‘County Championship’ match, which took place in Bath. Unfortunately, he only managed to score 30 runs in his first and only inning of play.

The next year, he captained his side to victory in the ‘Western School T20’ tournament, which enabled them to earn the title of champions. During his leadership, his side was victorious in just one of its 17 matches. ‘Young Wisden Schools Cricketer of the Year’ in 2010 for hitting 554 runs at an incredible average of 61.55, earning him the title of ‘Young Wisden Schools Cricketer of the Year’.

On August 31, 2011, he made his international debut for England against India in a Twenty20 international match, however, he did not bat. After making his international debut in September 2011, he went on to play T20 matches against the visiting West Indies team in the United Kingdom.
