In addition, she played the title character, Sophia, in the first season of the original MTV series Eye Candy.

The television show only ran for a single season. Clemons participated in Lady Gaga’s music video for “Til It Happens to You” and in DJ Snake’s music video for “Middle” opposite Josh Hutcherson. She also had a guest starring role in an episode of New Girl from 2015, in which she played Winston’s love interest, KC. Clemons portrayed Beth in the comedy Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising, released in 2016. In episodes of the original Netflix series Easy, she also performed the role of Chase, a graduate student from Chicago.

In 2016, Clemons was chosen to play the role of Iris West in the upcoming action movie The Flash[6,] but production had to be put on hold when director Rick Famuyiwa left the project. Despite this, she was still supposed to appear in the film Justice League, playing the same role, but her parts were not included in the version shown in theaters. Clemons’ deleted parts from the Justice League movie released in 2017 were later included in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, released in 2021.

In this episode of The Flash, Kiersey Clemons sheds additional light on her interpretation of Iris West and discusses how it varies from previous incarnations of the famous character. In 2014, it was confirmed that The Flash would be a part of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), and Kiersey Clemons was cast as Iris West in 2016.

This year, some ten years after it was initially reported that a film adaptation of The Flash would be made, it will finally be released in cinemas. James Gunn has only recently revealed his updated strategy for the DC world (DCU), which consists of several forthcoming projects. However, he has also lauded The Flash and indicated that it would reset the DC world. Clemons gave Screen Rant an exclusive interview to promote her upcoming film Somebody I Used to Know. While doing so, she offered a sneak peek at some of the things moviegoers may anticipate from her performance as Iris West.

She said that Andy Muschietti, the film’s director, wanted to ensure that Iris and Barry were portrayed as separate personalities. Clemons has also discussed the impact of working on this project with Ezra Miller on Iris for such a long period.Clemons’Clemons’s description is fascinating, particularly her explanation of how Muschietti made it a point to make her and Barry Allen opposites truly.

Miller’s depiction of Barry leans into the enthusiastic young hero, with humor and seriousness showing through in their performance. [Miller’s] portrayal of Barry is excellent. This may be an amusing way to play off of Iris’ more restrained and direct demeanor, particularly now that portions of her more sensitive side are beginning to surface. Candice Patton’s portrayal of the fearless reporter and Barry Allen’s companion for almost a decade in the Arrowverse has helped Iris West become an iconic figure for DC fans. Patton has played the role of Iris West in the Arrowverse since 2008.

Clemons’ characterization of Iris West parallels Patton’s interpretation of the character while distinguishing her from other role variations is an intriguing aspect of the performance. Most significantly, the interplay she describes with Miller’s Barry implies that Muschietti is capitalizing on the disparities between these characters to build up an “opposites attract” connection between them. This may be the most critical factor in establishing them as distinct iterations of Barry and Iris, particularly when contrasted with The Flash television’s “best friends to lovers” dynamic.
