Liv Morgan Biography and Career:

Daddio was born in Paramus, New Jersey, on June 8, 1994, and raised in Elmwood Park, New Jersey. Daddio’s mother, Georgette, raised her and her five siblings as single parents when her father passed away. Daddio has been a wrestling fan since she was a child, and she and her siblings would wrestle in the backyard. According to Daddio, she plans to become a real estate agent in November 2020 by attending the Bob Hogue School of Real Estate. Daddio founded a real estate company with fellow professional wrestler Bo Dallas in February 2021.

Daddio got a contract with WWE in 2014 after being spotted at Joe DeFranco’s gym in Wyckoff, New Jersey, and was sent to NXT in October of that year. On February 11, 2015, she made her NXT TakeOver: Rival debut as a fake fan who leaped on Tyler Breeze as he entered the ring. As part of Breeze’s entrance at NXT TakeOver: Unstoppable on May 20, she returned. NXT’s November 4 broadcast featured her debut as a jobber against Eva Marie under the ring name Marley in October 2015. NXT’s December 2 episode featured Daddio’s return as Liv Morgan, who lost to Emma. Carmella won the NXT Women’s Championship from Bayley on January 13, 2016, an episode of NXT, which featured a battle royal between Morgan and the other top contenders.

Carmella and Nikki Cross beat Daria Berenato, Mandy Rose, and Alexa Bliss in a six-woman tag team match on the August 17 episode of NXT. Morgan defeated Aliyah in her first televised singles match on NXT’s August 31 program. Morgan defeated Rachel Fazio through submission in a single match on September 14’s NXT and would challenge the NXT Women’s Champion Asuka. Due to Morgan’s defeat by Asuka the following week, she would begin a feud with The Iconic Duo (Billie Kay and Peyton Royce), who confronted her during the bout, culminating in a second fight between Morgan and Kay in which Kay prevailed after Royce interfered.

As a distraction, she attacked Royce during a bout between Kay and Aliyah on NXT’s October 26 broadcast, leading to Aliyah’s victory. On NXT’s November 16 broadcast, Morgan faced Royce and was disqualified for Kay’s interference, which included hitting Morgan and Aliyah until Ember Moon intervened. On the November 23rd episode of NXT, Morgan’s team defeated Kay, Royce, and Daria Berenato in a six-person tag team match. SmackDown Live’s November 21, 2017 broadcast marked Morgan’s debut on the main roster alongside Ruby Riott and Sarah Logan, both of whom attacked Becky Lynch and Naomi.

They also attacked Charlotte Flair and Natalya during their SmackDown Women’s Championship match the following night. The “Riott Squad” made their SmackDown Live debut the next week, defeating Flair, Naomi, and Natalya in a six-woman tag team match the following week. Michelle McCool eliminated Morgan as the eleventh participant in the first women’s Rumble match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view on January 28, 2018. There were 20 women competing in the Women’s Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34, but Morgan was unable to win the contest. The match between Bayley and Sasha Banks ended in a no contest on April 16 when the Riott Squad were recruited to Raw as part of the 2018 Superstar Shake-Up.

It wasn’t until the September 24 episode of Raw, when Morgan was genuinely knocked out by Brie Bella, when two of her Yes Kicks struck her skull, that Morgan was taken out of the contest. They were defeated by Natalya, Bayley, and Sasha Banks at Evolution, the first all-female pay-per-view. Just 8 seconds into the women’s Royal Rumble match at the Royal Rumble in January 2019, Morgan became the shortest-lasting woman in a women’s Royal Rumble bout. At the inaugural WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship pay-per-view, Morgan and Logan faced off against Nia Jax and Tamina Snuka in an Elimination Chamber Match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.

When Morgan competed at WrestleMania 35, she faced Carmella in a Women’s Battle Royal. In a losing effort, Morgan returned to singles action on the June 4 episode of SmackDown by facing Carmella. On the next week, Morgan ultimately defeated Carmella and set her sights on the SmackDown Women’s Championship, which she eventually won. Morgan began to object to Sonya Deville’s decision to include Carmella and Zelina Vega in the Money in the Bank women’s ladder match. Before she entered the ladder match, she defeated Carmella and Vega in singles battles.

Carmella will face Bianca Belair the next week for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Bayley’s “I Quit” bout with Belair at Money in the Bank was canceled due to a legitimate injury she sustained during practice. Morgan was unable to prevail in the match, which enraged the crowd. Morgan and Toni’s Storm faced Zelina Vega and Carmella on Smackdown’s September 17 program. Afterward, Morgan would challenge Carmella to about at Extreme Rules, which the latter defeated.  Carmella defeated Morgan in the opening round of the Queen’s Crown event in October. After winning a Fatal 5-Way match on the November 8 episode of Raw, she was elevated as the No. 1 contender for the Becky Lynch title.
