My first interest in feminism stemmed from a need to help women reframe childbirth as a positive and self-determining event. I think I would have had a more active social life and a career as a nurse midwife if my sexual life hadn’t been so intensely focused on the extreme. Unfortunately, I was never able to secure employment in the medical industry. Even if I was having a bad day, I couldn’t handle hearing that someone else had died.

The reason for this is that I do not currently parent any minors. The factory that produced me apparently forgot to wind my biological clock, which is currently a running joke of mine. For my nieces and nephews, I have nothing but love and admiration. The only other woman I know who loves children but has chosen not to have any of her own is me, and she has no children. For once, I’m glad I don’t have kids of my own.
