Seattle Sounders FC Biography and Career:

The Seattle Sounders FC is a professional soccer team that competes in Major League Soccer. The squad was founded in 1974 and has gone on to become one of the most successful club teams in both Major League Soccer and the rest of the world. The squad is owned by Allen Sports Ventures, the same company that owns the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). Peter Allen is the company’s current chief executive officer.

The Seattle Sounders have developed into probably the most successful club in Major League Soccer history, having won the most Supporters’ Shield and MLS Cup titles in the league’s history. They have not achieved the international success of teams such as Toronto (which has won the CONCACAF Champions League seven times and the Club World Cup twice) or Dallas (which has won the CONCACAF Champions League four times and the Club World Cup once), and they have only won the CONCACAF Champions League once. They have also yet to participate in the Club World Cup, which they qualified for.

The Sounders have achieved this level of success with a very unusual strategy that has been based on the principle of “Once a Sounder, Always a Sounder,” which was first preached somewhat sarcastically by their supporter’s club. Bringing back players who had previously played for them, developing coaches from within the player ranks, and bringing in families (particularly the Roldan’s, the Alonsos, the Lodeiros, the Dempseys, and the Ostermann’s), all of whom have multi-generational histories with the team, the Sounders have created more than a team, but rather a family, resulting in a level of buy-in and commitment from the players and coaching staffs.

The Seattle Sounders FC was established in 1974 as a member of the North American Soccer League (NASL). This squad was disbanded in 1983 but was re-established in 1994 in the then-United Soccer League. They remained in the league until 2008 when they were absorbed into the early Major League Soccer as the league’s second-ever expansion franchise.

The Seattle Sounders were awarded their first-ever Supporters’ Shield in 2014. The Seattle Sounders won their first-ever MLS Cup in 2016, beating Toronto FC in the final. In 2017, the Sounders were defeated in the MLS Cup finals by Toronto FC. In 2018, the Sounders were defeated by Saprissa of the Costa Rican league in the final of the CONCACAF Champions League.

The Seattle Sounders won their second MLS Cup in 2020, beating the Supporters’ Shield champion Atlanta United. Coach Brian Shmetzer has announced his retirement at the conclusion of the season. Preki has been appointed as the new head coach.

Goblinization will strike the whole planet in April 2021, and soccer players will not be exempt. Jordan Morris and Nouhou are both infected, and both transform into dwarfs as a result of the disease. The absence of two crucial players, with no readily available substitutes, has hampered the Sounders’ season. They made it to the postseason but were eliminated in the wild-card round. After the season concludes, Nouhou will declare his retirement from soccer.

Jordan Morris returns to camp in 2022, aiming to reclaim his status as the squad’s captain and drive the club to the next level. A target forward, he had spent the previous season working with coach Preki to refine his style, which had evolved from a fast winger/striker to a target forward. It looks that the change has been accomplished. The Seattle Sounders are beaten by the Los Angeles Galaxy in the conference finals.

The Seattle Sounders won their second MLS Cup in 2024, defeating the New England Revolution. In 2025, the Allen family acquires possession of the Seattle Sounders from the Hanauer family, who had previously owned the team. The Seattle Sounders have been deemed equal tenants at CenturyLink Field alongside the Seattle Seahawks, and they have an equal voice in the operation of the stadium.

Preki is fired as coach in 2027 and is replaced by former Seattle Sounders player Brad Evans. The Seattle Sounders have advanced to the postseason after losing to the Portland Timbers in the conference semifinals. The Seattle Sounders overcome DC (DeeCee) United to win their third Major League Soccer Championship in 2028.

Centurylink Field will be renamed Paul Allen Stadium when it opens in 2030. Since this name has been proclaimed permanent, no other naming sponsorship proposals for the stadium will be solicited by the Allen family. Allen Sports Ventures has been taken up by his sister, Jody Allen (previously First and Goal, inc.).

In 2032, Jody Allen steps down as CEO of Allen Sports Ventures, and Duncan Allen takes over as CEO. The Major League Soccer (MLS) has changed its league calendar to coincide with the autumn-to-spring structure followed by the rest of the globe. The Seattle Sounders kick off their season at the second iteration of Paul Allen Stadium. The Seattle Sounders have won their fourth MLS Cup, defeating Toronto FC.

The Seattle Sounders begin a string of six MLS Cup victories in 2036, a record that has not been equaled since. In the process, they won their fifth MLS Cup, defeating the Philadelphia Union. The Seattle Sounders upset the Ottawa Arsenal to win their sixth MLS Cup in 2037.

  • In 2038, the Seattle Sounders overcome the Philadelphia Union to win their seventh Major League Soccer Championship.
  • In 2039, the Seattle Sounders overcome the New York Lightning to win their eighth Major League Soccer Championship.
  • In 2040, the Seattle Sounders overcome the New York Lightning to win their ninth Major League Soccer Championship.

The Seattle Sounders end their six-year winning run in the Major League Soccer Cup by beating the Racing Club of Indianapolis to win their tenth MLS Cup in 2041. Brad Evans has decided to retire, and Holden Arena has been recruited to take his position.

DeAndre Yedlin, a former fan favorite who is now an elf, returns to Major League Soccer and the Seattle Sounders in 2050. The Seattle Sounders begin their season at the third edition of Paul Allen Stadium in 2053. Allen Sports Ventures was founded in 2070 by Peter Allen, who became its CEO.

The Seattle Sounders kick up their centenary celebration in 2074. Paul Allen Stadium will host the season’s first game in its fourth edition. In 2075, the Seattle Sounders won their 18th Supporters’ Shield and advanced to the MLS Cup Finals by defeating the Atlanta Thrashers SC. Yedlin announces his retirement after the match.

In 2076, the Seattle Sounders reach the finals of the CONCACAF Champions League, defeating the New York Cosmos. Club América of Aztlan is scheduled to play against them. Approximately one week before the final, information emerges indicating that the whole Club América squad has been exposed to blood magic in order to obtain an edge, which is prohibited by CONCACAF and FIFA laws.

Club América has been disqualified, enabling the Caribbean League’s Los Cubanos to progress to the next round in its place. The Seattle Sounders will win and proceed to the Club World Cup in 2077 if they win. The Seattle Sounders FC plays their home games at Paul Allen Stadium, which is the fourth stadium to use that name. The stadium was formerly known as CenturyLink Field, but it was renamed in honor of Paul Allen, a late co-founder of the Micro deck firm, in 2030 following his death.

In recent years, the Seattle Sounders’ facilities have undergone frequent improvements, which have been spurred mostly by a rivalry with the Atlanta Thrashers SC over attendance. The present iteration can accommodate 120000 people on a regular basis, with the capacity temporarily increased to 125000.

In 2025, the artificial turf was removed from the field and replaced with grass. The surface, which is used by both the Sounders and the NFL’s Seattle Seahawks, is miraculously restored and maintained after each match to accommodate for the extreme weather conditions in Seattle.

Local support for the Sounders has been strong for many years, and the team has a solid track record of traveling successfully to away games. Following the Sounders’ promotion to Major League Soccer, the team’s fans formed a new organization known as The Emerald City Supporters.

ECS went on to influence supporter culture in North America, and in conjunction with The Timbers Army, helped to promote North American soccer and raise soccer in North America to a level comparable to that of the rest of the world, according to the organization.

ECS has, more than any other club fandom in Major League Soccer, had a larger say in the team’s affairs throughout its existence. ECS has been vociferous, loud, and influential on a variety of issues, including fan experience, stadium management, arranging fan travel to away games, banner and tifo policy, pyro, and other issues. They have been and will continue to be, a strong advocate for metahuman rights in Seattle, as well as when they go internationally.

A General Manager vote of confidence was held hostage in 2023 by ECS and the Alliance Council unless the club agreed to write a policy on equal access to metahuman fans, as well as in recruitment and coaching opportunities. While the executive office was originally adamant in its opposition, this strategy has proved to be a tremendous asset to the club in terms of support levels as well as team loyalty among the players and coaching staff.
