Wendy Kilbourne is a well-known American attorney and a former television actress. She was born on June 29, 1964, in the United States. Kilbourne is most recognized for her role as Constance Hazard in the North and South miniseries (1985, 1986, and 1994) and her role as Devon King in Midnight Caller.

She met her future husband, actor James Read, on the set of North and South. The couple wed in 1988, and together they had three children: a boy, Jackson (born in 1990), and two girls, Willa (about whose stillbirth she spoke out to writer Robin Abcarian in 1994) and Sydney (born in 1995). Jackson is the oldest of the three. Santa Barbara, in California, is where the family calls home.

She left her career as an actor to pursue a legal education, and she is now admitted to practice law in California.
