Lewis Capaldi is a singer and songwriter who hails from Scotland. His track “Someone You Loved” is his most well-known work. He was the youngest of his parents’ four children and was born in Bathgate, West Lothian, Scotland. When he was four years old, he performed at a summer camp, and that experience sparked his interest in music. During those formative years, he made the most of any chance that came his way, even if it meant performing solely cover versions of songs by other artists or bands. Capaldi loved school, but not so much as a student as he did as the person who constantly entertained his classmates with his pranks and antics. He was known as “that guy.” He would rather spend his time amusing himself and performing music than focusing on his academic pursuits.

He proceeded to write and perform his unique tunes, filming himself in the privacy of his bedroom and posting his works on “YouTube.” Soon after, he acquired a devoted following of fans. On March 31, 2017, he published the song “Bruises,” which marked the beginning of his career as a musician. He became the quickest unsigned artist to hit a quarter million plays on ‘Spotify,’ ultimately, the single garnered more than 28 million listens on the site.

Soon after the popularity of ‘Bruises,’ Capaldi was offered recording contracts by both ‘Virgin EMI Records and ‘Capitol Records.’On October 20, 2017, Capaldi launched his first extended play (EP) titled “Bloom,” which was followed by the release of the song titled “Bruises.” Malay, a producer who has won a Grammy Award, was one of his collaborators on the EP. As a result of the popularity of ‘Bruises’ and the first EP, he received invitations to support a variety of well-known bands and performers, including Rag’n’Bone Man, in November of 2017.

January 2018 brought Milky Chance, March 2018 brought us Niall Horan and May 2018 brought Sam Smith. His solo career moved forward with his fourth headlining tour, which took him throughout Europe and the United Kingdom, where he performed for large audiences.
