Adam Haseley Biography and Career:

American professional baseball outfielder Adam Donald Haseley was born on April 12, 1996, and is currently a free agent. He was once a player with the Chicago White Sox and Philadelphia Phillies in Major League Baseball (MLB). In the first round of the 2017 MLB draft, the Phillies chose him with the eighth overall pick.

2019 saw Haseley make his big league debut, and he played with the Phillies until 2021. Haseley went to The First Academy in Orlando for her high school education. Haseley participated in the 2014 USA Baseball National High School Invitational squad and was a three-time first-team all-district selection while playing high school baseball.

On his way home from a tournament in North Carolina during his senior year, Haseley had a perforated eardrum, a problem that persisted throughout his time in college. The First Academy honored Haseley in its Hall of Fame on February 4, 2020. Haseley also played for USA Baseball on two foreign teams and was a member of the 2013 under-18 squad that won the gold medal.

On April 1, 2015, Haseley made his University of Virginia college debut in a pinch-hitting role against VMI. He was asked to start Game Two of the 2015 College World Series finals against Vanderbilt, with Virginia behind 1-0 in the series, even though he had only pitched in four games that season. His promotion came again, this time to the Single-A Lakewood BlueClaws, where in 66 at-bats, he batted.258/.315/.379 with one home run and six RBIs. With the High-A Florida State League’s Clearwater Threshers, Haseley started the 2018 season batting.300/.343/.415 with five triples (tied for fifth in the league), five home runs, 38 RBIs, and seven steals in 330 at-bats.

Following his promotion, Haseley played for the Double-A Reading Fightin Phils, where he hit 316/.403/.478 in 136 at-bats while also contributing 17 RBIs and 6 home runs. He received the title of Phillies Organization All-Star on MiLB.com his first 165 at-bats of the 2019 season, Haseley returned to Reading and hit 267/.353/.485 with 8 home runs and 21 RBIs.

May 29 saw Haseley promoted to the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, the Phillies’ Triple-A club. In 68 at-bats, he hit.294/.377/.471 with them. On June 4, 2019, the Phillies elevated Haseley to the big leagues due to Andrew McCutchen’s injury. That same night, he made his big league debut, going 0–4 at the bat while starting in center field.
