Felicity Ward Biography and Career:

Felicity Ward is an Australian comedian born on September 26, 1980. She is most known for her television performances on Spicks and Specks, Thank God You’re Here, and Good News Week, as well as her role as a writer and performer in the television show The Ronnie Johns Half Hour, which airs on the Channel 10 Network. She is a member of The 3rd Degree, the group that produced The Ronnie Johns Half Hour and starred in it.

Killcare is a sleepy fishing village located on the Central Coast of New South Wales, and Ward spent his childhood there. She originally came to the notice of the general public via her work in the sketch program The Ronnie Johns Half Hour, which was nominated for a Logie award. In particular, her performance as the six-year-old character Poppy, the German nihilist Gretchen, and the lawn bowls teacher Heidi brought her acclaim.

In 2009, Ward took her multiple-award-winning “Ugly As A Child Variety Show” to the Adelaide Fringe (from the 20th to the 21st of March), the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (from the 1st to the 26th of April), the Sydney Comedy Festival (from the 12th to the 17th of May), and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (from the 7th to the 31st of August). The play, produced by Laughing Stock Productions, was a financial and critical success, and it was so popular that all of the performances were sold out.

At the 2009 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Ward was nominated for Best Newcomer, and at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, he received Mervyn Stutter’s Spirit of the Fringe Award. At the Melbourne Fringe Festival in September 2009, Felicity Ward debuted her new act, “Felicity Ward reads from The Book of Moron.” The event was a combination of narrative and stand-up comedy and included music.

She took the act to the Adelaide Fringe in 2010, the Brisbane Comedy Festival, and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival. Ward appeared at the Gala of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, broadcast on Network 10 on March 22, 2010. It was then presented at the Sydney Comedy Festival and the Perth Comedy Festival, both of which awarded her the title of Best Australian Act. 2014, 2016, and 2019 were the years that Ward appeared at the Latitude Festival. At the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2018, her show “Busting a Nut” was considered for the nomination for Best Show.
