Gena Rowlands Biography and Career:

Virginia Cathryn “Gena” Rowlands is an American actress whose career in cinema, theatre, and television spans over seven decades. Rowlands was born on June 19, 1930, and her stage name is Virginia Cathryn “Gena.” She is one of the few surviving actresses from Hollywood’s Golden Age, which she was a part of. She has won four Emmys and two Golden Globes, and she is most known for the ten films she worked on with her late husband, the actor and director John Cassavetes. Together, they worked on the movie.
